Where we are and what we offer

Set amongst seven acres of meadow, our two cosy, friendly cottages and a cabin lie four miles north of Penzance and only nine miles from St Ives, high on a hill overlooking Mount's Bay, St Michael's Mount and the Lizard Peninsula.
The Cottages are within easy walking distance of many ancient sites, which include the iron-age village of Chycauster, The Nine Maidens, Lanyon Quoit, the Mên-an-Tol and Chûn Castle, surrounded on three sides by the Penwith Moors, which stretch all the way from Land’s End to St Ives; rediscover the natural world.

Seeking somewhere a little different?

There is nowhere quite like Ding Dong; it is unique in the true sense of the word! Bal Cottage, The Loft and The Cabin provide perfect bases for walking, wildlife observation, bird-watching, photography, astronomy or other outdoor activities, as well as being a secluded retreat for artists, authors or other creators, far from the bustle and stress of modern life.
Not excessively modernised, the cottages are comfortable, well equipped and restful, there is no passing traffic and you may walk without limit in any direction.
Guests have occasionally walked to St Ives and back, returning tired but triumphant! And on a clear night the sky is spectacular, revealing the stars and planets without the light pollution which obscures the seeing in town and city skies.
